WENTZVILLE, Mo. - An argument between two people led to a shooting Friday evening in Wentzville, police say. The shooting happened in a cul de sac on Evergreen Court just before 8 p.m. Friday. Police tell FOX 2 that the victim was struck several times. When officers arrived, they performed life-saving measures on the victim before they were rushed to the hospital. Feds bust suspected drug ring in St. Louis area FOX 2 has not yet confirmed the condition of the person shot, and one person of interest is in custody as of 9:30 p.m. This is a developing story. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was fatally struck Friday evening on Interstate 270 in north St. Louis County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the collision happened on 270 near North Florissant Road. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - A St. Louis County grand jury has indicted St. Louis firefighter Arnold Britt on one felony charge of receiving stolen property and one misdemeanor charge of fraudulent use of a credit/debit device. The allegations stem from accusations that Britt took the wallet of one of the survivors of a deadly crash in February and used the cards to make purchases in St. Louis County. Four victims were killed when police said a red-light runner forced the vehicle over the South Grand overpass at Forest Park Avenue. ST. LOUIS - It was all smiles Friday afternoon at Tower Grove Park as St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones helped cut the ribbon on the new basketball courts. "It sends a signal to our community that parks are welcome for everyone no matter how you choose to have fun,” said Jones.The two basketball courts had been years in the making, part of Tower Grove Park's 2017 Master plan. Los Angeles City Councilmembers are taking action to create special street vending zones across parts of Los Angeles. On Friday, Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez and Council President Paul Krekorian introduced a motion at the City Council meeting to eliminate the no-vending zone on Hollywood Boulevard that has been in place for five years. The no-vending zones were established by the City Council in 2018, prohibiting street vending in those areas. If the motion passes, street vendors, advocacy organizations and community members will work with the city to create a "special vending zone" on Hollywood Boulevard as part of a first of its kind pilot project. A Brea man has been charged with murder and is eligible for the death penalty after he allegedly stabbed a man to death in Newport Beach to steal his Rolex watch.Randolph Loren Aguirre, 55, faces one felony count of murder and one felony count of second-degree robbery. Aguirre was released from prison only seven weeks prior to the deadly stabbing after serving more than three years for assault, officials said.He's accused of killing 46-year-old Robert Tamaccio, who was passed out in a Newport Beach alleyway after a night of drinking, in the early hours of Sept. 30.According to the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Aguirre and his 30-year-old daughter Desiree Aguirre were driving in their pickup truck when they spotted Tamaccio and decided to rob him.
